Walt Disney and Pixar did not stop with Toy Story and Toy Story 2. They had more in store for more us. While we had the experience of a lifetime with the mindblowing Toy Story2, which is considered to be one of the best sequels ever made, the third film in the franchise had a lot more to offer. So, in 2010, the two big production houses collaborated once again to bring us Toy Story 3.
The third film, Toy Story 3 was directed by Lee Unkrich.
Let’s have a quick look back at the story of Toy Story 2 before proceeding to the third one. In Toy Story 2 we saw how all the toys united to get back Woody to Andy’s house once again. The toys realized that even if Andy is not there with them, they always have each of their back for “infinity and beyond”. Even human beings fail to show such deep friendships right?
Toy Story 3 has its own twists and fun. As we all grew up watching the films of the franchise from 1995 to 2010, Andy too grew up in the third film. And, as a result, the toys Woody, Buzz, and all others were donated to a daycare center because Andy was leaving for college.
Interesting fact, Toy Story 3 was the first film to be released with Dolby Surround 7.1 sound. Indeed, the movie is amazing in all senses.

1. Woody, the Favorite One
No doubt Woody is the favorite toy of Andy. When Andy prepares to leave for college Woody is the toy that he wants to take along with him. In the movie, Woody is taken by a girl named Bonnie and he becomes friends with them. At the end of the movie, Andy admits that he loves Woody the most among all his toys and he considers him to be his partner.
2. The Grown-Up Andy
The change is clearly seen. Andy is a grown-up boy now. He is going to college. But he does not forget his toys. He decides to take Woody along with him and packs all the other toys to be kept in the attic. Andy and Woody share the best bond in the movie.
3. Lots-O-Hugging Bear
Lotso has got the perfect name. The moment you see Lotso you feel like hugging him. He is a hot pink teddy bear with a big nose. Lotso always is seen using a wooden toy mallet while walking. Though he looks and loving and adorable, he is revealed to be the villain in the film. He is also the leader at the Sunnyside Daycare Center.
4. Meet The New Lover
Now, who does not know the story of Ken and Barbie? And when we are in the world of toys, how can we miss the two most popular toys in the world? Ken appears in Toy Story 3 as a smooth-talking doll who falls in love with Barbie. He looks very stylish in leopard print shirt and light blue shorts. No wonder why Barbie loves him too.
5. Dream Girl Barbie
Barbie is a toy that is found in every household in the world. No other toy can ever come into comparison with the undying popularity of Barbie. In Toy Story 3 Barbie is seen and she falls in love with Ken.
6. Beautiful Bonnie
Bonnie is a sweet little child. She visits Sunnyside Daycare and loves all the toys. At the end of the film, she becomes the owner of Woody, Buzz and all other toys. This little girl is also the creator of a toy whose name is Forky.

7. Mr. Pricklepants
Mr. Pricklepants is a stuffed hedgehog. He thinks himself to be a great actor. In the entire movie, he shows his interests in theatre arts and he takes role-playing very seriously as well. He has a habit of shushing the other toys if they break the character and so Buttercup calls him ” Baron von Shush”.
8. Trixie
Rex was a green dinosaur and now Trixie is a blue dinosaur. She is herbivorous and she chats online with another toy dinosaur who lives down the street.
9. Buttercup
Meet this unicorn toy. When we all dream flying on a unicorn, having a cute toy like this might just help. But hold on, Buttercup is not as sweet as he seems. He has a very gruff voice and he is quite sarcastic.
10. Dolly The Doll
Dolly is a doll that is kind of a household toy for every child. In the film, she is a stuffed toy with an orange dress and purple hair. She also has googly eyes.
11. Stretch The Octopus
In Lotso’s whole gang Strech is the only female octopus. She is a rubber toy with a purple body. At first, Strech uses her arms to threat Woody and other toys, but she changes during the film and becomes a helpful toy.
12. Monster Chunk
Chunk is a monster toy and his name and his looks suggest he is another villain in the movie. He is one of the helpers of Lotso who helps him execute his terrible plans and he imprisons Woody and other toys. Chunk can change his face even by rolling it up or down.
13. Robot Sparks
Sparks is a robot toy at Sunnyside Daycare. He helps Lotso.
14. Green Twitch
Twitch is a green action figure insect toy. He helps Lotso in capturing other toys. Twitch also sets up a searchlight in the playground to look for the toys who escaped.
15. Chatter Telephone
Want a cool telephone like this? Chatter telephone is surely one of the innovative creations of Toy Story 3.
16. Bookworm
Even toys can be bookworms. Bookworm is a green toy with spectacles who keeps all the manuals of toys at Sunnyside. He helps Lotso to understand the functions of Buzz.

Though Andy grows up he realizes how important part these toys are of his life. Toy Story 3 had amazing characterization and a very gripping yet emotional plotline. The movie even eas nominated for Best Academy Picture. The animation and the musical score were also praised a lot.
It became the highest-grossing film as it earned 1$ Billion worldwide. On June 21, 2019, the fourth film of the franchise Toy Story 4 was released.
