2.Not In Theatres
The movie was released directly as a cartoon show. DVDs were launched but it was not on the big screens.
Simba was married (if they do that) to the love of his life (Now I’m really jealous of the Jungles), Nala. They have a newborn daughter, Kiara, who was in the first part too, at the ending of the movie.
Kiara is as curious as Simba. Although, she did not “laugh at danger’s face” nor she goes to “Elephant’s Graveyard”. But Simba is an overprotective father (Just like Marlin), that is why she is irritated and want some independence.
Zira was a follower of Scar and she believed in him. She wanted her son Kovu to step on the reign of Pride Land as a revenge.
Kovu is the son of Zira. He was handpicked by Scar to be his successor while he was holding the reign. Kovu was just brainwashed by his mother, otherwise, he was a good lion. And, yes, he was the boyfriend oh Kiara.
7. Let Me Define Baby-Sitting!
Of course, the movie features Timon and Pumba. Simba told Timon and Pumba to take care of Kiara while she was outside Pride Land. They are the main side character of the movie.
When she was a young adult, two lions attacked Kiara and Kovu saved her, winning her trust to enter Pride Land, which was the plan of Zira. Later, both of them fall in love (again) and Kovu realizes how wrong he is.
9. A Wise King Once Said We Are One
In the final battle, when Zira attacked Simba and his other lions, the couple comes in between and stop them from killing each other. And the best fighter in the whole fight was Timon and Pumba.
10.The Signature Ending
At the end of the movie, Kiara and Zira were in the same position as Simba and Scar were or Scar and Mufasa were. Zira died and the rain stops. Isn’t it odd that when Scar died, the rain started falling and when Zira died, the rain stopped falling? They kill each other just to use them as a tap.
Both the movies worth watching, although, the second one is not that great. The first one was rated 93% on Rotten Tomato whereas the second one was rated at only 48%. You check the rating at the end of the post. If you have kids, this movie definitely worth watching with the whole family as it has so many moral lessons.
I watched this movie when I was a kid, and see, how innocent I am. Also, there are many other installments of the move like the show of Timon and Pumba, and The Lion King 1½, and many others. But this post covers the main two parts. Moreover, they are making a remake of The Lion King, which will probably release in 2019.
