1. Official The Hobbit Poster
The movie was released on 14 December 2012. The movie was a big hit all over the world, and it had to be, because of the success of The Lord Of The Rings.
2. An Unexpected “Collection”
The movie made a little more than a billion on a budget of around $300 million. However, the expectations were higher than this because Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King made more than $1100 million and that too on a budget of only around $95 million.
3. 60 Years Before LOTR
The movie starts with Bilbo Baggins, writing the story of his adventure 60 years earlier so that his nephew Frodo can know about that.
4. Martin Freeman
It was the first time, I saw a movie of this awesome little guy. Martin Freeman did a great job to portray the character of Bilbo Baggins.
5. The Little House Party
Remember the little guys from “Snowhite” movie? This is them now! Feel old yet?
6. This My House!
In the beginning, Gandalf and all the Dwarfs get into Bilbo’s house forcefully. The main aim of Gandalf was to recruit Bilbo as their “Burglar” in their adventure. But Bilbo was unwilling to accept the offer and wanted to live his stable life.
7. I’m Going On An Adventure!
The next day, when the company leaves without Bilbo, he had a change in his heart. He then packed his bag and ran towards the way of the company. To know more about the Company, read Lord Of The Rings post.
8. The Shortsword
While traveling, the company finds some monsters, who planned to eat them, but Bilbo managed to hold them until dawn and then Gandalf exposes them to sunlight which turns them into stone. After that, the team discovers the cave of those monsters, in which they found a treasure, where they find some swords which were made by some popular ironsmiths. And Gandalf gives a special sword called Elvin Shortsword to Bilbo (Yeah, that feels like old school 8-bit games, kill the monster and get the treasure).
9. Featuring Orcs!
The team continues their journey, and then get chased by Orcs. However, Gandalf finds a secret way to Rivendell as were now safe from Orcs.
10. Also Featuring Stone Giants!
Gandalf was not with the Company anymore because of “DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA”… and the Dwarves moves forward without Gandalf, just to find themselves surrounded by Stone Giants.
11. Also Featuring Goblin! (ANYONE LEFT?)
The team fought the stone giants, and somehow managed to escape and take refuge in a cave, where they were captured by Goblins, but Bilbo was separated by them and fell into a crevice.
12. The Gollum Cameo
After falling into a crevice, Bilbo encounters with Gollum, who unknowingly drops his golden ring. Then Gollum starts playing some stupid games similar to “KBC” or “Who Wants To Become A Millionaire”, in which Bilbo somehow wins. Then Gollum notices that his ring is lost, and start chasing Bilbo.
13. The Adventure Starts Now
Bilbo then finds that the ring can make him invisible. This is when the real adventure of Bilbo Baggins start. Although he had a chance to kill Gollum, he spares his life out of pity (If that was me, I would have killed him there, and wish that he has not died, so that I can kill that disgusting creature again).
14. The Gandalf Returns
While Bilbo was busy in his social work of sparing disgusting creatures, other members of the company were being sold by The Great Goblin to Azog, the chief Orc, who has some personal hate with Thorin. Gandalf takes a heroic entry (I think, he was waiting for all this to happen) and saves everyone. Meanwhile, Bilbo rejoins the team again, keeping his ring secret.
15. I Thought She is Showing her Finger!
She is not so important, at least, not in this part. She is in the movie just because of feminism, they had to show some female characters, otherwise, people, especially from India, would have been on a strike on the Director, give him death threats, and fire up the public vehicles. (Focus on her face, and you will feel like she is showing you finger)

1. The Official Poster
The movie was released on 13th of December, 2013. It got a decent rating on both IMDB and Rotten Tomato.
2. The Desolation Of Money
The “Desolation” means loneliness. And that’s what movie faced. The movie earned more than $950 million on a budget of around $200 million, which is still a big figure, but compared to last part, this feels penny.
3. The Adventure Continues
The movie starts where the last part was over. The Company ran into a nearby home along with Gandalf, as the Orcs were chasing them.
4. Bye, Bye Little Friends!
Gandalf leaves the Dwarfs again due to some promise he made to Galadriel (Remember that only lady in the first part, who was showing you the finger?) and tell the company to remain on the path. This guy is of no use, always leave his friends alone to die!
5. Featuring Spiderman!
When the team continues their journey, they lose their path and then face some big, very big spiders. Bilbo free other guys with the help of his ring. He drops his ring and brutally kills a spider to get it back. That is when he understands the dark influence of the ring.
6. Helping Elves Are Better Than Praying Dwarves!
Then, there comes Legolas and some other Elves, who kill the remaining spiders to help the team, at least, that’s what everyone thought!
7. Welcome To The Prison!
After killing all the spiders, Elves capture the Dwarves and bring Thorin before the king of Elves, Thranduil.
8. I’m Back
This guy never gets caught. He is again here to help the boys. Bilbo helps the team to escape from their in a wine barrel, just to find themselves standing in front of Orcs.
9. Bye-Bye Elves!
Boys then somehow make an escape from both, Elves and Orcs. Kili, one of the Company’s member was injured during this fight. Furthermore, they move onwards and get themselves smuggled into a lake town called Esgaroth by Bard, who is a worker on the port.
10. Why Are You Here?
The whole team was found stealing weapons from the Town. However, Thorin promises the Master and the people of lake town that he will give a part of the Mountain’s treasure.
11. Where Is That Piece Of Magic?
While the team was leaving the lake town with a grand farewell, to go to the Lonely Mountain, Gandalf was traveling to the south to the ruins of Dol Guldor. Gandalf finds the ruins infested with Orcs and is ambushed by Azog and the necromancer their overpower Gandalf, and reveal himself as Sauron.
12. The Lonely Mountain
Boys reach the Lonely Mountain, where Bilbo finds a way in, through a hidden entrance and enter the mountain. While trying to find Arkenstone, he accidentally awakes Smaug, the dragon.
13. Is The Lake Town Still Celebrating?
After the team leaves Laketown, leaving Kili with one another Dwarf, the town suffers an attack by Orcs. Legolas and Tauriel, a female Elf, enters the town chasing the dwarfs, but then fight the Orcs, and Tauriel stays there to help Kili, while Legolas leaves in pursuit of Bolg, the leader of the Orc’s troop.
14. Bad Plan… I mean, Bard’s Plan!
While Dwarves were busy in playing with their new pet dragon, Bard, the guy who smuggled the team into lake town, was preparing to attack Smaug with the black arrow, in case if it comes out of the mountain.
15. Hobbified!
Let’s get back to our Hobbit. Everyone was now trying their hard to somehow kill Smaug, and came up with the idea to use Smaug’s flames to melt a big gold statue, and bury him alive, in which they were successful, but Smaug just wanted to give them a surprise, and he emerges out of the gold, get out of the mountain and flies off to destroy the lake town. Bilbo was horrified! And then the director says “CUT”! And the end!
Part 3: The Battle Of Five Armies (2014)

- Ian Holm as Old Bilbo Baggins
- Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey
- Richard Armitage as Thorin II Oakenshield
- Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman
- Orlando Bloom as Legolas Greenleaf
- Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel
- Lee Pace as Thranduil
- Graham McTavish as Dwalin
- Ken Stott as Balin
- Aidan Turner as Kíli
- Dean O’Gorman as Fíli

1. The Official Poster
The movie was released on 17 December 2014. Moreover, it got an average rating from Rotten Tomato, still, I loved the movie because of its adventure.
2. The Wealth Of The Five Armies
The movie earned more than $900 million on a budget of around $250 million. I think some changes in the movie could have made some more bucks for the movie. Although I cannot consider it the best part, I liked the adventure.
3. Does The Story Suck?
You may find the story suck because it is the slowest part of Hobbit series, but you will probably like the ending of the movie.
4. Whats The Story?
The story continues from last part, as you may have guessed that they must have killed Smaug, with just one arrow. Yeah, they freaking did it! I mean, seriously? You have only one freaking arrow, which needs to be shot at one freaking particular part of the dragon, who is coming towards you to kill you and the whole town along with your family, and you still shoot it accurately! That’s what I didn’t like. I mean, they could have let everyone die, and then let the Company do something about him.
5. Now What?
After killing Smaug, Thorin goes to the mountain and find Arkenstone, then he starts acting like a greedy king by not giving Arkenstone to the people of lake town as promised and then starts the DRAMA DRAMA and some more DRAMA!
6. The Ending (Not Of This Post, So Don’t Go!)
Thorin then starts fighting his own cousin, until the army of Orcs appears. Thorin comes back to normal again and starts fighting.
7. The Death Is Just A Part Of Life!
Many main characters will die at the end. But they will finally win and come back to their respective homes.
8. Just Like Old “Sherlock” Days!
The voice of Smaug and Sauron is given by our Doctor Strange Benedict Cumberbatch. It is not the first time when Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch shared the screen, they already did a great job in Sherlock Holmes series, the difference was that they were against each other this time.
9. Which One First?
You must be thinking that if its prequel of LOTR, then we must watch this movie before watching LOTR, otherwise we will not understand the real story. You may be right, but if old school kids can do this, why can’t we? Still, I would suggest that, if possible, watch Hobbit first and then watch LOTR.
10. Why This Stupidity?
You must be thinking (Ohh, hell, how much you think!) that if Hobbit is the prequel, then why on earth do the makers released LOTR first? Let’s get to it in the next poster.
11. Because…
It is because the rights of the book Hobbit, was already bought by “Metro Goldwyn Mayer” studio, don’t know about it? MGM, now you should have recognized it, right? MGM refused to give rights to The Hobbit, instead sold Lord Of The Rings rights to Peter Jackson, thinking Hobbit will be more liked by the people!
12. Then?
After seeing the massive success of Lord Of The Rings, MGM approached New Line Studios, the studio which financed LOTR, to make the prequel of the movie. And rest is history!
13. Don’t Leave Me Alone!
Most of the shooting of Ian Mckellan (Gandalf) was done in front of green screen. So, he used to be alone all the time during shooting. This made him cry and he was broke down in tears also he was unaware that mic is on. Furthermore, co-stars helped him through the end.
14. Legolas Don’t Blink!
Legolas is a great archer, so his eyes are the best, and he didn’t blink in any part except in The Desolation Of Smaug and when he was injured.
15. The End Of Adventure
In the end, Bilbo comes back to his home, where he sees that all of his stuff is being auctioned as people thought he will never return. And then he stops writing (Remeber, it all started with Bilbo writing a book?)!
If you have survived the adventure of my words, here is a small treat for you. Enjoy “Hobbits”!

The Final Words
I would say that this movie series is totally worth watching. Although they have stretched the movie too much because the book was just one, where they made three movies on it, it still worth your time. One big thing everyone can learn from this is that, we should go out of our comfort zone, it will make us a better person, and we should take these decisions in a snap like Bilbo didn’t think much while going to join the Company.
This decision made him a better person, and when he came back to his home, he was feeling that he was born for adventures only.
So, go out of your comfort zone, and try doing something new. It will change you and eventually, your life.
But we will never change! We will keep bringing you high-quality posters for free. So bookmark this website, and share this post with your friends so that you guys can make a plan to some adventurous place like Middle Earth (Even though, everyone knows that these types of plans never work).
So, that’s all for this post of “ The Hobbit Poster Collection ”.
