Supergirl is an American superhero television series that originally aired on CBS and premiered on October 26, 2015. Based on DC Comics character Supergirl, she is a costumed superheroine and Superman’s cousin. With Melissa Benoist in the lead and playing an authoritative role of the last surviving Kryptonians, the series is a sure watch for all the superhero lovers. The show has received generally positive reviews from critics, who have praised the creative direction, the performances, and the themes addressed. Also, the fifth season is set to premiere on October 6, 2019.
Based on DCTV network, Supergirl is the Story of a girl who is the cousin-sister of Kal-El (Super man). She reaches many years later after Superman reaches. Also, Kara (Supergirl) was sent to Earth because her planet was being destroyed. She discovers aliens over time and lives among them. The show has nice storylines. Not too much of a love story in the beginning and it actually has more stories apart from love story in the second season as well. All in all, a perfect watch for the over the weekends!

1. Kara Danvers/ Supergirl
She’s a 24-year-old Kryptonian living in National City, who is ought to embrace her powers after hiding the same for too long already. She works for a news media company and conglomerate Catco where she works as an assistant to Cat Grant.
2. James Olsen
A former Daily Planet photographer, James moves to National City and becomes the new art director for his former colleague, Cat Grant, at CatCo Worldwide Media. He is initially a potential love interest for Kara. James becomes Guardian in the second season.
3. Alex Danvers
Alex is Kara’s human adoptive sister. She is a scientist and government agent who serves as Hank Henshaw’s right-hand at the DEO. She becomes the new director of the DEO at the end of season three.
4. “Winn”
He is a tech expert who works alongside Kara at Catco. He is Kara’s best friend and serves as one of her allies, helping her develop her costume and aiding her in her adventures. Winn has unrequited feelings for Kara and is a rival with James for her affection. At the end of season 3, he left for the future with Mon-El and joined the Legion of Superheroes.
5. J’onn
He’s the head of the DEO who takes Hank Henshaw’s likeness after Henshaw who is killed in Peru. He also recurs in the series as the real Hank Henshaw, who becomes Cyborg Superman.
6. Cat Grant
She’s the unabashedly shallow and superficial founder of the media conglomerate CatCo Worldwide Media, who feels, since she “branded” Kara as “Supergirl”, that she has proprietary custody over the new hero. In the second episode of season two, Cat announces she is taking a leave of absence from CatCo, leaving James to run the company in her stead.
7. Mon-El
A prince from the planet Daxam with similar powers as Superman and Supergirl, Mon-El lands on Earth in the pod at the end of season one.
8. Maggie Sawyer Dates Alex!

She’s the detective for the National City Police Department, who takes considerable interest in matters involving aliens and metahumans.
9. Lena Luther
The CEO of L-Corp and the younger paternal half-sister of Lex Luthor. She arrives in National City after Lex has been incarcerated, hoping to rebrand Luthor Corp as a force for good.

Kara works with her adoptive sister Alex Danvers to fight the criminals, alongside the Green Martian J’onn J’onzz her cousin’s friend James Olsen, and tech genius Winn Schott.
