Illumination Entertainment produced The Secret Life of Pets, an animated film in 2016. It is an American 3D film. Chris Renaud directed the film. The Secret Life of Pets has two films in its franchise. The first one released on July 8, 2016, and the second one had a very recent release on June 7, 2019.
The movie revolves around a bunch of animals and talks about their journey and adventures. Even the pets have their own secrets just like their owners. Max who is a terrier dog lives with his owner Katie. Fun fact is whenever Katie leaves for work Max starts hanging out with the other pets in the building. There is a cat, a pug, a dachshund, and a budgerigar.
However, things take an interesting turn when Katie brings home her new pet Duke who is a Newfoundland dog. But fate landed both the dogs in the hands of Animal Control.
The movie received a positive response from the audience and so promised a sequel as well. Its second part has also good reviews.

1. Max
Max is the protagonist of the film who is a terrier in white and brown. He is very attached to his owner Katie and has a blue-collar with his name on it. Although Max is a fun-loving dog he becomes extremely jealous when Katie brings Duke, a new pet.
2. New Member Duke
Duke is a huge Newfoundland dog. His collar has D written on it and he has long hair. Duke is very sloppy and never shares his bed with Max. Initially, he comes across as a not so compassionate dog but later he seems to be more sympathetic.
3. Bubbly Gidget
Gidget is a white pomeranian with blue eyes and small pink ears. She is very loving towards Max and is too bouncy. But in face of danger, Gidget can be as tough as a bombshell.
4. Tabby Cat Chloe
Chloe is a gloomy, fat cat. She has green eyes and she is very clumsy. Careless, lazy and foodie, these are the best words to describe her. But she is always there for her friends.
5. Pug- Mel
Mel is a fawn pug and has a curly tail. He is petrified of squirrels. Mel gets irritated and is a hyperactive dog. Also, he is very optimistic.
6. Sweetpea
Sweetpea is a parrot who lives in the apartment with Max. Whenever his owner leaves his house, he puts on the fan and television.
7. Be My Buddy
Laidback and lazy are two important traits of Buddy who is a dachshund. He is sarcastic and peaceful.
8. Pops
Pops is an old Basset hound whose legs are paralyzed. He is very grumpy. But he helps Gidget to find Max and Duke.
9. Tiberius
Tiberius is a red-tailed hawk. He is a tough and serious hawk. But he enjoys flying and has a kind heart.

10. Cutie Snowball
Snowball is the cutest rabbit and the leader of the flushed pets. He gets into trauma when his owner leaves him. Also, he is manipulative and eccentric. But no one can beat his cuteness.

Snowball hates all pets and their owners. But in the end, he has a change in his mind.
12. Ripper
Ripper has a screen lock on his mouth due to which he cannot talk. But he is trustworthy and always stands for Snowball.
13. Tattoo
Tattoo is an antagonist in the film. He is a huge pig and has tattoos all over his body. Tattoo involves in a rescue mission for Ripper with Snowball.
14. Ozone
Ozone is the leader of the Alley Cats. He gangs up against Max and Duke when the two dogs accidentally bump into his cat territory. Ozone robs the collar of the two dogs.
15. We Are a Team
The pets are there for each all the time. They indeed are true friends and team up against every wrong.
16. Are We Friends?
They start off with hating each other but fate lands them into trouble together. In the course of the movie, they become each other’s helping hands.
17. Love Is In The Air
Gidget had romantic feelings for Max from the very beginning of the movie. Finally, in the end, max also expresses his love for Gidget.
